Rev.
Mark E. Harris was born April 24, 1966.
He
attended Appalachian State University where he earned his
Bachelors’ Degree in 1987.
Upon
answering the call to ministry that year, he attended
Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he graduated
in 1991 with a Masters in Divinity.
His
first senior pastorate was at Center Grove Baptist Church in
Winston-Salem where he served from 1989-1999.
Rev.
Harris was called to Curtis Baptist Church in Augusta, Ga.
in 1999 and served there until 2005.
In
2005, he was called to his current post as Senior Pastor of
Charlotte’s First Baptist Church.
He
has served as trustee for Southeastern Seminary, and in many
leadership capacities in both the North Carolina and Georgia
State Conventions.
Rev.
Harris is due to receive his doctorate from Southeastern
Baptist Theological Seminary in December of this year.
